Project: Handling liquid plastic on heat resistant belts
Our challenge was to manufacture a special heat resistant belt conveyor carrying hot plastic poured on in liquid form and passing through a spray booth for cooling, the plastic was continuous strips & sheet form and is manually removed.

The belt is low friction coated with a smooth finish. Full length sheet steel side guides 20mm high were bolted to the side section and sealed with silicon sealer; these were included to retain water for removal at the discharge end using a rubber scraper; no collection facility was supplied for excess water removal at this stage.
The belt conveyors pass through a spray booth which was manufactured, designed and fitted by others.
The conveyor is mounted on a box section framework supplied with adjustable feet +50mm.
General construction is grade 304 st / st with food quality materials where possible, a shaft mounted geared motor drive supplied with variable speed & stop/start control unit was also included.
