Waste Handling Recycling Conveyor
This was a project that required a waste recycling conveyor for there plant. It included:-
5 No. Manually Operated Turntables being 700mm wide x 700mm long with a 360 degree movement and foot pedal operated stop locations every 90 degrees.
2 No. Powered Twin Chain Free Roller Systems “B1&2” being 700mm wide x 5000mm long c/w foot pedal operated stop at the discharge end. More info on our roller conveyors click here >>
1 No. Weigh Station Conveyor being 700mm x 800mm long mounted on a weigh platform and support framework. A separate weight indicator with backlit LCD display includes push button operations for tare, accumulation, multiple weight units etc. A rechargeable battery with charger is included.
1 No. Gravity Roller Conveyor “C” being 700mm wide x 5000mm long c/w a manually operated stop at the discharge end.
1 No. Gravity Roller Conveyor “D” being 700mm wide x 750mm long straight x 90 degree bend x 5000mm long straight c/w foot pedal operated stop at the discharge end.
1 No. Mobile Gravity Conveyor being 700mm wide x 800mm long c/w semi circular fixed guide 200mm high and locking safety chain. The conveyor is mounted on a box section framework on braked castors. A simple location bracket is included to fit to conveyor “D”.

1 No. Drain Tray runs the length of conveyors “C & D” with a capacity exceeding 300 litres and including a pipe (with connection to suit pump by others) location under the bend section on conveyor “D”. Note that a sump is not included.
Manufactured with a mixture of industrial plastics, stainless steel, mild steel painted materials and plated rollers as appropriate. Conveyors include height adjustable feet for levelling and bolt-down location, fixed side guides and the general working height throughout (base of drum) is 500mm.
All rollers are 50mm diameter at 75mm pitch free running type in standard bearings.
All driven conveyors have locally mounted stop/start/isolator controls.
Operation of the Recycling Conveyor
Drum Input & Emptying Conveyor System Equipment
Drums are placed on the first rotary turntable, rotated, inspected and pushed a second turntable where the lid is removed and the drum is manipulated by the operator via the third rotary turntable and eventually pushed onto conveyor “B1” where it is driven to a stop at the end. The conveyor continues to run with the rollers running free under the drum allowing accumulation. The process is repeated as needed. When needed, the stop is released and drums one at a time discharge onto a fourth turntable. The drums are manipulated by the operator via turntables to direct them to either the recirculation system via conveyors “B1&2” & turntables, or removed onto mobile trolleys.
